As it happens, our little Peanut turned two on Easter Sunday this year. Evidence that God is at work in me: I baked her cake from a box, added gobs of food coloring to the batter, and proceeded to frost it with frosting from a can. And then I fed it to my children with only the teensiest twinge of guilt. I managed to redeem the cake with homemade lemon curd in between the layers, a gift from a beautiful friend (thanks, Emily!)
