Our small town has an annual trick-or-treating tradition. For the past five years we’ve taken our kiddos downtown to do some arts and crafts, play some games, and beg for candy from local businesses. We love doing this instead of going out on Halloween night–when it’s dark and the little guys get cold and scared. It does always kind of feel like a hassle to gather costumes the night before (we don’t put a lot of effort or money into our costumes, in case you couldn’t tell). But I’m always blessed by the fun time we have as a family.
